Aaron Richards Returns With Powerful Self-Released Production 'Slow Dancing'

Following the release of Monstercat single 'Heartless' alongside producer Dexter King and several different versions of Linkin Park's 'Numb,' Aaron Richards has made a swift return. After teasing the project a month ago, he now unveils his rendition of John Mayer's, Slow Dancing In A Burning Room, titled 'Slow Dancing.'

Atlanta-based artist Aaron Richards is slowly becoming one of the most recognizable singers and songwriters in the EDM soundscapes. While he is a vocalist who has been practicing his craft for almost his entire life, he has had the last five years to really hone in on a unique blend of alt-pop with electronic and rock elements. Having a slew of records on Monstercat and heavy hitting covers under his belt, he now wants to continue doing more.

Having produced a portion of instrumentation in 2018 with Luke Holland on their collaborative cover of The Weeknd's track 'Privilege,' this isn't the first time Aaron Richards contributed production to an official release. Jump a couple years later and he is now ready to take things to the next level with his touching cover of 'Slow Dancing' as the sole producer.

Not only has Aaron Richards produced 'Slow Dancing' entirely on his own, but the captivating music video is designed solely without a background in visual arts. Using only his iPad and his creativity, he brings the story to life drawing the animations by hand, frame by frame. This is a special release, as it creates a powerful shift in his career. Given that John Mayer was such a huge influence, it only makes sense that he takes this next step in his artistry in a tribute to the icon himself.

'Slow Dancing' is a passionate alt-pop record that effortlessly captures the powerful, smooth and light vocals of Aaron Richards. Managing to capture elements of the original, he creates an almost completely new song with mesmerizing ambient vibes and clean instrumentation layered under slight echoes of rock music. While technically a cover, this is just the first release of many to come that will have a greater focus on original craftsmanship.
