A few weeks ago, hip hop artists and rappers, Tw1tch and AbSalute, released their latest single, 'PREY' through independent record label, Code Red Global. With production on the beat by AF Sin, release on SoundCloud, and filming from Code Red Films for their music video, their words, their style, and their sound is made strong and clear. Both rappers have been in the underground hip hop scene for more than a year and have each released strong tracks.
This track has a classic hip hop sound with a drum set providing the majority of the beat, using the snare and bass. Layered above this, listeners can hear calming strings and sampled vocals. What I like most about this track are TW1TCH and AbSalute's words about living. Listening closely, it's easy to understand why it's titled prey and people can truly relate. Not only are the words meaningful, but AF Sin produced a beat that reminisces hip-hop’s past and sets the stage for these genuine rapper’s thoughts and words.
