Starting 2020 strong, DJ and producer D.O.S.E. has released a string of songs, dabbling with elements from genres like hip-hop, grime, old-school dubstep and chillstep. Of all singles released, his offering, 'Bounce,' still steals the show three months later.
Coming out of North Carolina, D.O.S.E. launched his career after attending world-renowned electronic dance music festival Imagine Festival 2019. Experiencing the thriving EDM culture and seeing people all around him having the time of their lives, he decided he wanted to create those memories for others and started officially becoming a DJ and producer.
While D.O.S.E. only recently began his career as an artist, he has been surrounded by music most of his life. In early childhood, his parents taught him how to play guitar and piano, and through this supportive environment, he eventually found himself experimenting with an old drum set, keys and early producing program Garageband. Writing music as early as 16, he would learn how to produce and song-write, seeding a hobby for the future.
Jump a few years later, D.O.S.E. found himself learning how to use Logic X Pro while in a community college. As he was attaining an Audio Engineering certification in early 2019, he gained experience working with Pro Tools and found a renewed interest in producing. Switching to platform Ableton, he started pumping out music with a new routine and reworked capability for multi-tasking.
After launching his career as a DJ and producer late last year, D.O.S.E. also decided to take his drive and energy as an artist to create record label Cornerstone Records LLC. Currently curating and managing an official Spotify playlist, "Sauce Boss," he includes artists like Excision, Minnesota and Champagne Drip to show what the label's brand will one day represent.
Amidst recent singles like grimey release 'Hands Up' and chillstep inspired track 'Good Things,' the record that hits the hardest is 'Bounce.' Filled with intense bass, a mesmerizingly bumping beat and wobbly synths, this is a song that will surely fracture brain stems and make listeners want to hit repeat.
Only recently cementing his digital footprint into the EDM soundscapes, D.O.S.E. will undoubtedly create lasting memories for fans all around the globe in the next decade by releasing powerful dance music, playing shows, going on tours and travelling the world over. For now, fans will have to wait eagerly and in the meantime, blast speakers with bass-infused 'Bounce.'
