Since revealing his bass-infused riddim styled dubstep hybrid ‘Shark Week’ in 2017, Charlotte, North Carolina based DJ and producer F!N, has made a return to the shallows to tease his coming Winds of Change EP. Expected to drop later this summer in June, the major release will undoubtedly establish his signature sound in 2020.
Finding inspiration at a young age, F!N first began his career in the music industry picking up a guitar and gaining experience in songwriting. In the following years, he would gain exposure to a variety of genres ranging from grunge, post-rock to rap, hip-hop and eventually various electronic dance music genres that have influenced his current sound today.
F!N truly began to start his adventure in the EDM soundscapes after receiving his first turntables when he was only 12 years old. For the next nine years to come, he would go on to use his early genre influences and his experiences as a songwriter and guitarist to learn audio production. F!N was slowly going to become the DJ and producer he wanted to be.
Going public in 2016, F!N went on to release five eclectic singles that drew from the energy and styles of riddim, dubstep and bass house. Dabbling in heavier bass music, his songs ranged from electro house release ‘MAG!C’ and riddim infused trap single ‘Origami’ to trapstep hybrid ‘Turnt Up’ with rapper Bdubtheking amongst others.
Fast forward four years, DJ and producer F!N has now returned to the scene in 2020. After taking time to not only focus on life, but also blend his creativity and personality into his producing, he is excited to reveal the first compilation of his career. A four track release, Winds of Change is a project that has been years in the making.
Pouring his heart and soul into the EP, F!N has been making everything perfect from the album artwork and song titles to the artists he collaborates with. The extended play represents F!N's mission to create music that not only resonates with him, but also with fans.
Fans can expect Winds of Change EP to consist of four tracks, 'Portal,' 'Dark Matter,' 'Another World' and 'Simulated Aquatics.' From pulsating club vibes, dubstep and trap elements to tasteful bass house, this major release will have something in store for listeners from every spectrum of the EDM soundscapes to enjoy.
