After surfacing to tease his EP release a couple weeks ago, Charlotte, North Carolina, DJ and producer F!N has emerged to unveil his highly anticipated release Winds of Change. Originally comprised of four dynamic tracks, the official extended play actually offers a fifth bonus record. Open up the stream, press play and dive into this article.
Beginning with 'Portal,' F!N invites listeners to enter the depths of the EDM soundscapes with a welcoming and hypnotic introduction. Harnessing the ability to captivate fans and draw them in immediately, this calming first track utilizes club vibes, pulsating bass, airy synths, tasteful midi instrumentation and a bright melody to make people crave for what comes next.
As F!N takes fans deeper into Winds of Change, listeners will become submerged with exposure to a heavier, riddim sound. With an ominous message stating to remain calm, stay in place and wait for further instructions from authorities, the song will invoke a strong connection with people today. 'Dark Matter' draws from dubstep energy that F!N has been known for, while he takes things a step further with riddim infused bassy growls and dystopic vibes.
While the EP continues the listener's journey with tracks like 'Another World' and 'Khazad - Dum,' standout song, 'Simulated Aquatics,' steals the show. Filled with an undoubtedly powerful riddim sound, F!N utilizes sampled dolphin noises, heavier bass and a voice similar to Space Jam's Monstars saying, "Ridiiim," to keep fans hooked.
DJ and producer F!N didn't fail to impress with his Winds of Change EP. Returning to the shallows after taking time to focus on life and his producing, it is evident that he poured his heart and soul into the release. From pulsating club vibes and dubstep to grinding riddim and trap elements, this was an EP that had something most listeners could resonate with.
Releasing Winds of Change last Friday, F!N threw a celebratory livestream performance titled Day Vibez via Twitch alongside band Doctor Ocular, rapper and R&B artist Tyrique Shahmir and DJ and producer Trinch. With a knack for blending creativity, personality and his own personal taste in heavier genres, this was a project that was well worth the wait.
