Hurting Murphy Prepares For Another Banger After His Wobbly Trap Single 'Salty'

Recently joining the ranks of heavy bass crew Primal Productions, DJ and producer Hurting Murphy is an artist that is beginning to make waves in the EDM soundscapes. Following the successful release of songs like 'Willy Wonky,' 'Duffle Bag' and 'LAND OF THE LOST,' he has now returned this month to unveil his latest record 'Salty.' While he is already preparing for another major offering, fans will have to make sure they sink their teeth into this wobbly banger first.

Hurting Murphy is an artist based out of Orlando, Florida who has been developing his sound now for over two years. First getting into producing when he bought his friend's macbook for 150 bucks with a cracked version of Ableton 9, he began his career by creating beats for his brother who goes by rapper name Jaxon Pryce. Since then he's gone on to learn production by watching instructional videos and listening to music constantly.

As a recovering addict who's been clean since early 2018, Hurting Murphy is an artist who has not only persevered, but has also bettered himself. Between working out every day and eating a plant based diet, he has created the right atmosphere to focus on his happiness, health and producing capabilities. Honing his skills prior to the new decade, he slowly began releasing records across platforms like SoundCloud and Spotify.

Now 25 years old, Hurting Murphy has established himself as a DJ and producer whose signature style varies within the heavier side of bass music. With songs like 'Wavy Throwaway' and 'Post Trauma,' he has focused on elements of dubstep, trap, boombap gangster rap, UK hip hop, heavy metal, experimental, hybrid and anything in-between. Through influences like MF DOOM, ofthetrees, Eliminate, Peekaboo, Subtronics and ATLiens to name a few, he has created some absolutely powerful productions.

With plans to unveil a new song soon and participate in his first big show in October, this could not be a more exciting time for Hurting Murphy. Although he is already working in the studio on his next banger, his recently released record 'Salty' is still worth listening to. Only two minutes long, this wobbly hybrid has repeatability like none other with raw elements of both dubstep and trap, and it's filled to the brim with addictive bassy synths, liquid saws, sirens and intensity.
