After releasing his widely eclectic Made In LA mixtape, trap hybrid 'Gladiators' and poppy electro tune 'Supersonic' in 2019, DJ and producer Jake Justice is back. Debuting his newest single during a tougher time, he offers us 'Naturality' alongside COSMIC PLURR.
As a person who has surrounded himself around music his entire life, Jake Justice is not only a DJ and producer, but he is also a Los Angeles based singer, songwriter and instrumental musician. Having learned to play piano at a young age, write music as he was growing up and start a funk band during his college days, he is quite the diverse artist!
Discovering the EDM soundscapes in 2015, Jake Justice eventually gained the opportunity to release an official remix for Maty Noyes (vocalist for Kygo's 'Stay') onto labels LAVA/Republic and opened at Ultra Miami just a few years later for big name artists David Guetta, Kaskade and DJ Snake amongst others.
Jake Justice has released a myriad of productions that are reminiscent of his classical, electro and funk vibe and if we fast forward to 2020, these are only just a few elements of his established sound today. Off the hinges of 'Supersonic,' he has taken his free time due to the coronavirus quarantine to finish a year-long collaborative project to offer us his colorful 'Naturality.'
Released alongside COSMIC PLURR, Justice states that the collaborative effort of 'Naturality' is influenced by the cinematic atmosphere of artists like Deadmau5 and Odesza. Listening to the song however, listeners may also be reminded of KOAN Sound's energy in Sly Fox. With a mission to take audiences on an adventure, these guys achieve just that with tasteful instrumentation, a fantastical melody, dynamic transitions, 80s vibes and gentle bassy synths.
