Colorado based DJ and producer Southrydge Freedom has been in the scene for over a decade now, dabbling in genres like hip-hop and rap beats to dubstep, future-bass, bounce and everything in-between. Recently releasing melodically infused bass track 'Yesterday' and electro house single 'Topaz,' today we are going to look at his early chilled out record, 'Kokiri Girl.'
Like most artists, there are certain steps required to hone one's producing ability, learn to DJ well and to find a signature sound. While it has taken Southrydge Freedom some time to find his flavor of electronic dance music, he has just about got it in 2020. However, his stepping stone release after a variety of original content and remixes, is his calming, future bass song 'Kokiri Girl.'
Originally released in 2016, Southrydge Freedom's 'Kokiri Girl' stands out the most as it truly encompasses most of his current sound today, which blends melodic music, heavier bass and chill vibes. Drawing from his Legend of Zelda influence and the then highly popularized genre future bass, this is a tastefully calming production.
People listening to 'Kokiri Girl' for the first time will be immediately sucked in due to Southrydge Freedom's use of a panning keyboard. With the ability to keep fans drawn in throughout the entirety of the song, listeners will hear gentle vocal samples, future bass energy and airy instrumentation.
A song with a bright melody and tasteful future bass vibes, fans will have to check out throwback release of 'Kokiri Girl.' One of his most popular songs, Southrydge Freedom's current sound has without a doubt been inspired by this track he released four years ago. Time will only tell what comes next, but for now, get lost in the EDM Soundscapes' forest of 'Kokiri Girl.'
