A Look At Southrydge Freedom's Ambient Trap Single 'Take Your Time'

Southrydge Freedom has made it clear that he is an eclectically diverse artist after offering songs like his cinematic inspired, electro house banger 'Topaz,' melodically infused bass track 'Yesterday' and dubstep heavy 'The Legion.' After years of experience as a DJ and producer, he has slowly established a signature style through each new record. While he prepares for his next project, we are going to look back at one of his older, ambient trap hits, 'Take Your Time.'

Based out of Colorado, Southrydge Freedom is an artist who has been honing his craft for just a little over a decade now. With early roots in hip-hop and creating rap beats, he quickly expanded into new territory with genres like future-bass, bounce, dubstep, ambience, trap, chill and alternative music. Also heavily influenced by video games, he went on to apply a variety of elements from some of his favorites within his tracks.

While Southrydge Freedom's sound is more distilled with a focus on melodic styles with heavier bass today, he will always have a soft spot for chilled vibes, atmospheric energy and colorful vibrancy. In 2016 when future bass and an assortment of trap sub-genres were the craze, he joined with remixes for big name artists like Alan Walker, Illenium and KSHMR. During late spring of that same year, he released his calming, future bass single 'Kokiri Girl,' which drew influences from Zelda and was accompanied by gentle vocal samples and airy instrumentation.

Following 'Kokiri Girl' a month later in 2016, Southrydge Freedom unveiled his next original song 'Take Your Time.' Not quite future bass, this was an experimental record that blended ambience, arcade sounds, trap bass and calming swooshing effects. While fans wait eagerly for what he plans to release next, they will have to sit back and relax to this one!
